I&#8217;d never seen these before, but I believe they were only on the US marketed hatchback 99s between 1974 &#8211; 1976.  However, it seems that the WagonBack 99 didn&#8217;t debut in the US until 1976 [<a href=\"http:\/\/www.saabhistory.com\/1976\/01\/01\/the-1976-saab-wagonback\/\">1<\/a>].  Bj\u00f6rn Envall is credited for coining the term CombiCoup\u00e9 and most likely WagonBack as well.
